The Bengal Tiger is a mammal that lives in India, Nepal, China, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Bhutan.

Appearance

Bengal Tigers are around 9 feet long and are generally orange with a white underbelly and snout, medium-sized ears and have black stripes. Their eyes are blue as cubs, but once they are adults they are orange-brown.

Diet

They are carnivorous creatures that usually prey on medium, or somewhat large sized animals, such as deer and boars.

Lifespan

The Bengal Tiger’s lifespan can range from ten years to sixteen years, if they make it to adulthood.

Life

The females give birth to litters of two to six cubs, and are raised with little or no help from the father. The cubs cannot hunt until they are eighteen months old and stick with their mothers for two to three years before going off and finding their own territory.

Status

Bengal Tigers are endangered. Their most common threat is poaching and destruction of their habitat.
